Artistic Creations was founded in Illinois by Larry Wolfs in 1987. At the time the company was focused in iron works and forging. Larry created and designed iron gates, railings, ornamental irons, tables, chairs, and candelabras for churches.
In 1995, Larry began his transition into wood carving. Having been interested in the arts his whole life, and his love for nature and the outdoors has been a constant theme in his work. In the last few years, he has been specializing in chainsaw log art. His free style form of carving has allowed him to shape his ideas to the variability of the wood. He creates statues of eagles, bears, buffalo, various other animals, and people, allowing their personalities to speak through the texture and grains of his carving medium. Larry also makes wooden benches, welcome signs, and name logs that are custom made to fit your needs.
Larry's work is becoming very sought after, his creations can be found at art and wood carving shows, special events, and throughout the United States and Germany.
Larry also makes himself available for fairs, special events, educational demonstrations, individual carving lessons, and for several youth groups.
Larrys future goals include teaching seminars and selling instructional carving videos. His biggest desire is to have everyone learn to appreciate the true art in wood carving!
